Scurta descriere:
Merlin este un personaj legendar al povestirilor arturiene, simbolul unei lumi anacronice, care mai tarziu avea sa se stinga sa faca loc unei lumi moderne si rationale. Dar inainte ca stiinta sa evolueze sa ia locul magiei si misticului, a existat un tanar vrajitor pe nume Merlin. Serialul prezinta povestea acestui vrajitor in orasul mitic al Camelotului, cand Merlin era la varsta frageda de 12 ani. Chiar si la aceasta varsta el este destul de puternic, descoperind pentru prima data capacitatea lui de a utiliza puterea sa supranaturala pentru a-i salva pe toti cei dragi care se afla in primejdie, inclusiv pe viitorul rege al Marii britanii. Inainte ca Merlin si Arthur sa fi fost eroi ai Camelotului, ei au fost tineri, care au cunoscut personaje legendare si fantastice, dornici de a trai aventura, suportand in acelasi timp toate consecintele greselilor comise.
